Girl's Camp '09

I am finally back from camp! It was the longest week of the summer for me! Every morning around 1:15 or 2:00, I would wake up to someone poking me and asking me to be their buddy. We had to have buddies to go everywhere we went, yes. I'm kinda jealous of the boys' camp. :) Just kidding.
Every year we have an award ceremony and everyone receives an award. My first year at Girl's Camp, I got the Smiley Award from Amber Warnock, one of my YCL's. My second year wasn't as fun. I got the Keep On Trucking Award. Because, before our 5 mile hike, I coincidentally got stomach cramps and my head was killing me and every thing was hurting. (Hehe!) Didn't really fool our nurse, Sister Deraney. But she did give me the option between sitting in the infirmary for 3 or 4 hours while the other girls do the hike, or I could do the hike. Sooo, I went on the hike. ANYWAY, my YCL, Michelle, gave me the Keep On Trucking award because of that. Because I was sick and went on the hike!
But this year, I got the Pack Mule award. Because I carried Emily's and Loran's bags on the hike. But what I didn't expect was the applause I received when I got the award. Haha. I thought it was kinda funny.
This year, I also made a book mark. I made it with ribbons and another piece of craft stuff. My point is, I sewed something! I ought to get applause for that! And knowing me, I need all the book marks I can get!
I was stanky and I was ugly, but I took a shower as soon as I walked in the door! MMM! I have never been so thankful for electricity in my dear long life! I had my hair all smelling like strawberries and then I put my face on. MAN! I thought I had lost it this week.
I had attempted to put my face on a few times this past week, but it was just too hot to even bother. If you see the pictures that Sister Ashcroft took of me, you'll see what I'm talking about! Dang, it was bad!
But, I am happy to annouce that I was not the least bit sun burnt! I am so proud of myself! Although I can't say much good news about soreness. I am so sore on the back of my legs, it's just crazy!
I am so proud to say that during Testimony meeting, my little sister, Kim Kim, bore her testimony. She even mentioned how happy she was that Emily and I were there with her! I started crying! It was so sweet!
Another good thing was that nobody got high on chocolate this year... but... I got high off Blue Powerade, though! I was singing at the top of my lungs and screaming out the windows! I was happy it was the last night, that's all... ;)
Oh my goodness! The water fight was amazing! Emily was the Godfather of our team, THE MAFIA! We were called The Mafia, is what I meant. It was amazing, but I got soaked to the bone. BUT, I soaked Bishop Thompson, too. I poured 3 whole water bottles full of ice cold water right on top of his head! It was exhilarating! No JOKE! You shoulda been there, Man!
I am ecstatic! But I need to head to bed. I have church in the morning and if I'm planning on looking decent, I need to get my beauty sleep! Just kiddin'! If I can find some, I will post some of my pictures from this year!
